Don’t blink as they are that quick to make!

I have friends and family that love chocolate and I’m always trying to find was to satiate their appetites while still limiting high amounts of sugar and fats. Chocolate can be tricky to work with and stay low in calories, so I rely a lot on cocoa powder. It is low in fat and calories, has a good amount of protein and lets you add in a nice rich chocolate flavor cheaply. You can go from a nice mellow milk chocolate to a dark and demanding attention chocolate with just a few teaspoons. The trick is getting enough moisture so the cocoa powder doesn’t dry out the baked goods.

Now these are very rich and delicious, but a little higher in calories than I normally suggest. If you want a lighter version, there is an equally good chocolate muffin recipe found here that is less in calories and saturated fat. If you aren’t concerned about calories or looking for a special treat, continue reading as these will not disappoint!
