5 Minute Pizza Dough for Last Minute Meals

This is a fabulous pizza dough recipe because it is quick, only takes three ingredients and is fun to make with the family. Learn how to make pizza dough without yeast so you can have a fast meal on the table in about 20 minutes, start to finish. This 5 minute pizza dough recipe is truly simple to make. You don’t even need to get out any fancy equipment. Just a bowl and a spoon will do.

If you have ever made Chef-Boyardee™ pizza, this will remind you of its crust. It’s just as simple to make but now you don’t have to get mad at the company for taking out their cheese packets. Buy some powdered Parmesan, canned pizza sauce along with mini pepperonis and you are back in business. You can have a quick meal on the table in no time.

This recipe is for one 8″ pizza crust. You can press it out to about 10″ for a really thin crust. If you like, double the recipe for a standard sized pizza pan. We like to make up a lot of individual crusts, pre-bake it and then freeze them with toppings on it. You can simply reheat it in the oven for an even faster last minute meal. But this is so quick to put together, it’s no big deal to whip up in moments fresh. You can have this finished, eaten and out the door within 30 minutes.

Now if you are wanting a NYC or sourdough pizza crust, this will not be the same. This recipe is a time saver and is very tasty, but it’s not like traditional pizza dough. It will be a bit softer crust. However, this is about last minute meal ideas and not wasting time in the kitchen. You’ll be surprised at how good this 5 minute pizza dough tastes for something so easy to make.

The key is to use self-rising flour or regular flour with baking powder. It’s really all about getting the right amount of dough so it’s not too thick. If you try to make this as a thick crust pizza, it will be biscuit like, so keep that in mind. This recipe is intended to make just the right amount so it’s more like a traditional pizza crust.

You can replace it with melted butter, margarine or shortening. I’ve even used coconut oil in a pinch. Hope that helps!
