From time to time, I like to refer to cookbooks or other bakers for recipes. Many I have likely learned it from someone else or it was from a hand me down cookbook. Many recipes I was taught by three generations of women. Others from friends and family. It is impossible to remember where I learned all the recipes over the years. I would love to credit all sources, but it’s not always possible due to passage of time and forgetfulness.
Therefore, I decided to create this page to show the sources I have used in the past and will update any sites or cookbooks I use in the future. Hopefully, with citing the cookbooks and online sources I have used, if there is ever a doubt, you can safely assume the recipe was found in one of those places.
Want to read an interesting tidbit on recipes, plagiarism and copyright? This is why you’ll often see bloggers not citing sources: they don’t have to as they considered facts and the recipe itself isn’t protected. However, just because you can doesn’t mean you should take credit for a recipe. Whenever I remember a source, I will update this list to try my best to give credit where credit is due.
