Simply Delicious Spicy Sourdough Crackers

What can you do with spent sourdough? Do you just through your leftover sourdough down the drain? Stop doing that and make spicy sourdough crackers instead! Any time there is leftover sourdough, I’ll make a variety of crackers. They are simple to do and you’ll be wondering why you haven’t done this already.

I’ll show you how to make spicy sourdough crackers, but you can substitute any spices or none at all and a little salt and pepper. You’ll soon be inventing all kinds of flavors. It’s also a super simple dough and won’t take you to the poor house if you decide you aren’t a fan of homemade crackers. My husband adores these spicy crackers, whereas I find them a bit too intense. What will you think?

These are really easy to do and remember how to make without getting out the recipe. It’s simply equal amounts of starter and flour by cup measurements. You don’t even really need to measure the flour, you can just add enough until you get a stiff ball. For every 1/2 cup of starter, I like to add up to a tablespoon of spices.

Can’t get enough of crackers? Another recipe to try are these easy Italian Parmesan crackers. Now that you know the basics, these will be a breeze. Also, try adding in some sourdough starter to see what happens. The possibilities are limitless!
