1 cup(240mL) milk
1tbs(15mL) vinegar or lemon juice
Instructions
In a measuring cup, pour in one tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice.
Pour in milk until it reaches the one cup (240mL) line.
It is ready to use for baking.
Notes
If you let it sit, it will start to separate the milk and it will look curdled. This is normal.Substitute 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar in place of the vinegar or lemon juice.This substitute will not taste like buttermilk. Nutrition will vary based on the milk used.
