This is a popular cinnamon and sugar covered sugar cookie. These chewy and crinkly cookies are easy, delicious and fun to make.

Ingredients
Cookie Dough
1cup(150g) flour
½cup(113g) softened butter
½cup(100g) sugar
1large(50g) egg
1tsp(5mL) vanilla
½tsp(3g) salt
¼tsp(1g) baking powder
¼tsp(1g) cream of tartar*
Topping
1tbs(13g) sugar
2tsp(4g) cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375F (190C.)
Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking powder and salt in small bowl.
In large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until smooth. Stir in flour mixture just until blended. Chill 30 minutes.
On a plate or in a plastic bag, stir together sugar and cinnamon. Divide dough into 12 balls. Roll or shake dough in the cinnamon sugar.
Place dough onto baking sheet 2" (5cm) apart.
Bake 8 - 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
*If you do not have cream of tartar, use 1/2 tsp (2g) baking powder.
